dicto turns speech into large, clear text as you talk, so conversation keeps flowing when hearing is hard. Built for families, caregivers, and the professionals who support them.

For families and caregivers

Sit beside your loved one, tap once, and just talk. Helpful when hearing loss gets in the way of conversations. dicto listens only when you ask, and shows your words at the largest size that stays comfortable to read. Messages stay in a feed until the app closes. Nothing gets lost, and nothing is kept.

For care homes and senior living

Rounds, meals, visits. Residents and staff communicate without raised voices. There is no setup, no account, and no training: open the app, speak, and be understood. Conversations are never stored, so privacy and dignity stay intact.

For hearing care professionals

A communication bridge for audiologists and speech-language professionals, for the moments when hearing devices are out, being fitted, or not quite enough. Simple enough to recommend to a family in one sentence: speak, and your words appear, large.

Everything local. Totally private.

dicto stores nothing, sends nothing, and asks for nothing. No user accounts, no ads, no tracking, no cloud. Conversations disappear when the app closes, and typing mode works fully offline. For eldercare and patient care, that erases the usual privacy concerns: there is no record to secure, no data to audit, and nothing to delete. On current iPhones and iPads, dictation runs fully on-device for every dicto language except Hindi and Taiwanese Mandarin, and dicto requires it: your audio never leaves the device. Languages without on-device support are transcribed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and dicto itself never receives, records, or stores your audio. Full details in the privacy policy.
